The Sell module contains a file of customer details. This is maintained using the customer details tool:
Herschel holds the following key data about each customer:
Customer code |
This is used throughout Herschel to identify the customer. |
Full Name |
The full name of the customer. |
Main Telephone number |
The customer’s main telephone number. |
Main Fax number |
The customer’s main fax number. |
Delivery Address Number |
The normal delivery address number of the customer. |
Invoice Address Number |
The normal invoice address number of the customer. |
Certificate of Conformity |
Whether the customer requires a certificate of conformity for their goods. |
Sales market |
This analysis field is free for you to use for your own customer classification system. |
Sales Area |
This analysis field is free for you to use for your own customer classification system. |
Area |
This analysis field is free for you to use for your own customer classification system. |
Country Code |
The country code of the country in which the customer is situated. For EC single market countries the codes required by your tax authority should be used. This code is used for analysis purposes. |
Country Area |
Whether the customer is a home market, non EC or EC customer. |
Currency |
The default currency to be used for this customer's orders. |
Credit Rating |
The customer’s credit rating. |
Credit Limit. |
The customer’s credit limit. |
Payment Terms |
The payment terms for this customer. |
Account Code |
The customer’s account code (as used in your accounts package, for example). |
Default Nominal Account |
The customer’s default nominal account (as used in your accounts package). |
Default Department |
The customer’s default department (as used in your accounts package). |
Default Tax Code |
The customer’s default tax code (as used in your accounts package). |
Tax Reference |
The customer’s tax reference. Remember to include the country code for EC single market customers. |
Settlement Discount |
The usual early payment settlement discount percentage given to the customer. |
Paid Within |
The usual paid within period (in days) given to the customer if they want the settlement discount. |
