In certain industries, typically
those involved with electronic assemblies, the price and availability of
components can vary widely. It is
therefore common practice when planning a new project to send a number of vendors a
list of the components required for them to quote their current pricing and
delivery details.
This list is often known as a quotation assembly. The quotation request tool allows such a list of components to be generated for a batch of a given assembly:

that are short. A PDF of the quotation request can be generated and sent to the vendor as required:
